The Poem: Risk of Creativity

Updated: Aug 25, 2023

With more steps to think and mold
Creativity seems not in the mood to show
If the tools and routine stop our thoughts to flow
How could we use them to seek solutions that glow

The poem poses a question that resonates with my emotions. We acquire knowledge about creative tools, yet I perceive that they can inadvertently hinder our innate creativity. Even though Dr. Franc Ponti (Talks at Google, 2020) affirms that both deliberate and spontaneous individuals can be creative, I find that my natural, unrestrained creativity tends to yield higher-quality results. Upon reviewing the above sentiments, they take on the form of a question, which I believe is an excellent point of departure.

To infuse the reflection with greater engagement, a series of AI-generated images were crafted to complement the poem's essence. While acknowledging that there's potential for further enhancement in quality, it's noteworthy that these images did manage to encapsulate the core conceptual aspect of the piece.
